Our Missionaries

At Grace Community Church, our calling and ministry aren't over when we leave the church building. In fact, that's just the start! We are a church that takes seriously both the privilege and responsibility we have as Christ's ambassadors to a fallen world. This calling is seen in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) given by Jesus before he went up to heaven. It is a calling that reminds us that our "mission field" is wherever God has placed us - amongst the friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and other peers he has already brought into our life. But as a church, we also recognize the great need around the world to spread the good news of the gospel of Christ. We have therefore partnered in this great work with the following missionaries and organizations through our prayers and financial giving. Ron & Leslie Radke

Ron and Leslie (along with Nathan, Sophia, & Lydia) are our missionaries serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Ron serves the Bibleless peoples of the world through: (1) helping produce the Translator's Notes series (a "commentary" for mother-tongue translators), (2) translator training, and (3) consulting and checking translations. While his work on the Translator's Notes series is aimed at providing a resource for translators of all languages, he is also active in the more focused work of the training and assisting of translators in the country of Madagascar.

Benjamin & Heidi Turkalj

Benjamin & Heidi Turkalj are our missionaries serving with Pioneers. God has laid on both of their hearts the great need for the gospel in the country of Croatia (where Benjamin is from and where Heidi also lived as a missionary kid). Having come over to the states for their education and training at Moody Bible Institute, they are now raising support to head back over to work in Croatia long-term as both pastor and church planters. Once over in Croatia, their main focus will be on (1) teaching and preaching, (2) evangelism & discipleship, (3) music/worship ministry, and (4) literature development.

Louie & Elvina McCabe

Louie and Elvina McCabe are missionaries at work in Arizona among the Navajo Indians. As they themselves are a part of this people, they bring a keen and personal understanding of Navajo culture, language, customs, and perspective to their work in this field. This familiarity greatly aids them in understanding both the unique challenges facing this people as a whole, as well as how to best translate the good news of the gospel to individuals in this specific context and culture.

Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan's Purse is a non-denominational evangelical Christian humanitarian organization that works worldwide to meet the spiritual and physical needs of people suffering from war, poverty, disaster, disease, famine, and persecution. The organization's president is Franklin Graham, son of Christian evangelist Billy Graham. In addition to financial support, we also participate in their Operation Christmas Child program each year by filling Christmas shoe boxes for kids around the world.
